PETALING JAYA: A total of 60.1% of the Malaysian population or 19,633,681 people have completed their vaccinations as of Sunday, September 26, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) said.
He also said in a series of tweets on Monday, September 27, that 69.9% of the Malaysian population or 22,834,060 people have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
The JKJAV added that these figures also show that among Malaysia’s adult population, 83.7% have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations while 93.7% have received at least one dose.
He then said a total of 269,465 vaccine doses had been administered on Sunday, with 117,196 people receiving their first dose and 152,269 others completing their vaccinations.
Of any state, Sarawak saw the most people receiving their first dose with 19,619, followed by Johor (17,651), Sabah (14,085), Kelantan (13,170) and Kedah (11,959).
The state with the highest number of second doses administered is Johor with 28,276, followed by Kedah (24,521), Perak (17,701), Pahang (14,505) and Kuala Lumpur (13,304).
Over 60% of the Malaysian population has been fully immunized.
