Ann Arbor named # 2 for America’s best college town

ANN ARBOR – Ann Arbor landed second on WalletHub’s annual list of America’s best college towns.

Tree Town consistently tops national lists for all it has to offer, including a vibrant social and cultural scene, numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, its many parks and outdoor recreation and more.

The University of Michigan has left its own mark on the city, with spectacle sports, world-class artistic performances, the arboretum and botanical gardens, a leading health system and a research center.

“Experts have argued that a school’s geographic location is just as important as a strong curriculum and a conducive school environment for a student’s academic success and personal development,” writes WalletHub.

“It is in the interest of students to live in a city with a reasonable cost of living, as well as a city that offers good academic and professional opportunities,” the site continues. “The ideal city should also provide a fun social environment to help students cope with the stress of college. “
