OLONGAPO CITY — The local government in that city announced on Monday, August 9, that it had administered full doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 11% of its total eligible population.
The latest data released by the city’s information center shows that 20,154 residents on priority lists have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Among them are 7,800 recipients of the Janssen single injection vaccine from Johnson & Johnson.
The city administered 37,234 COVID-19 vaccines, including the first doses of Sinovac and AstraZeneca.
The city continues to vaccinate people belonging to A2 (elderly) and A3 (adults with co-morbidities).
Olongapo aims to vaccinate 182,000 or 70% of its 260,000 inhabitants to achieve collective immunity against COVID-19.
